What is Doctor Who?

If you haven't seen this series, I'll tell you why you should watch it.

This great TV series turns 60 and we celebrate it. If you have never seen it, it is the opportunity to become a fan, of this wonderful English creation produced by the BBC.

If you've ever seen Star Wars, Star Treek, Galactica, or some American movie or series, with its impressive heroes and spectacular intergalactic ships, you must see Doctor Who, because it is a series that has nothing to do with what you have previously witnessed.

Doctor Who, it is not only full of creative ingenuity in its scripts, with a solid and very ingenious argument, where there is no lack of robots, monsters, extraterrestrial species, in addition to being a visual spectacle, with a unique aesthetic, original, particular, own, far away and outside the horny hollywodense paraphernalia and therefore unique.

I confess not to be an expert in Dr Who, there are those who know even the smallest detail of the saga, and even large discussions are formed around it, as I have witnessed in some other event related to Dr Who.

From the first time I saw it, I was fascinated, because it is a science fiction series, very different from all the ones I had seen so far, it has adventures, time travel, suspense, action and something that caught my attention; humor, and I think that's precisely why, because the character of the doctor, is a kind of anti-hero, who wins thousands of followers.

Doctor Who's Tardis.

The Doctor Who, he's a space-time traveler. It's basically a Time Lord who travels with various companions, usually humans in their Tardis, which is a telephone booth that inside is immense.

The Time Lords were rulers of the planet Gallifrey. The Gallifreyan were one of the oldest and most powerful civilizations in the universe, which was exterminated in the Last Great Time War. The Doctor is a pacifist even though some civilizations of the universe translate the word doctor as warrior.

The enemies of Doctor Who.

If so far it has seemed good to you, what would be of a series without its enemies, some very bad bad and above all, very creative.

In this series we can find a wide variety of enemies. Alien species, robots, and endless variants, spectacular. So let's talk about some of them, that a series or a comic without very bad bad bad guys, does not make sense, that the enemies must be the best, to succeed.

The Cybermen.

The Cybermen will remove the fear. Cybermen will remove gender, class, color, and creed. They'll become identical. They'll become like us.

Cyber Leader

They are one of the oldest villains in the series, and great enemies of the Doctor. The Cybermen They are a race of robotically enhanced humanoids, who have no individuality, no name, no emotions, as they see them as terrible devilry.

They try to change, modify humans and other humanoids, mentally and physically, in order to create more. Cybermen.

The Daleks.

They are a race of genetically altered mutants, and super enemies of Doctor Who. Their robotic appearance is simply a breastplate, as these are mutant living beings described as grotesque creatures. Because of this mutant's body weakness, (Kaled) needs his armor to survive and move. Inside the Dalek lives, has a life support and a battle computer.

Inside this armor, there is an artificial brain vault, within which the Dalek, extinguishes even the smallest endowment of kindness and compassion.

The Silence.

They are the priests of silence, it was a branch of the ecclesiastical forces, a militarized order that tries to kill Doctor Who, to prevent a certain prophecy from being fulfilled.

In the fields of Trenzalore , In the fall of the eleventh , when no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer, a question will be asked, a question that should never ever be answered.

The question was: Doctor who?

Finally, I leave a couple of my cartoons: Peter Capaldi y Christopher Eccleston as Doctor Who. As I wrote at the beginning, I am not an expert in the saga. But over time I have become a big fan of this series, without spectacular battles, with a very ingenious and creative script, entertains and hooks, and wow, that one ends up becoming a follower of: Doctor who?
