1. Subject matter
This document regulates the conditions of use of illustrations, caricatures, designs, portraits, fan art, visual concepts and other graphic works made by Woorons and delivered to its customers.
The hiring of an illustration implies the acceptance of these conditions, unless specific written agreement that establishes different conditions.
2. Copyright Ownership
All works made by Woorons are protected by current legislation on intellectual property.
Unless expressly assigned in writing, the intellectual property and copyright of the illustrations will remain at all times in the possession of their author.
The delivery of an illustration or caricature does not imply the sale of the copyright, but only the granting of a license to use according to the conditions established in this document.
3. License for Personal Use
The illustrations contracted for personal use grant the client a non-exclusive license to:
- Print copies for private use.
- Share the work on personal social networks.
- Use the illustration as a profile photo or cover.
- Preserve and display the work for non-commercial purposes.
The client must maintain the integrity of the work and not attribute its authorship.
4. Personal Use Restrictions
Unless expressly authorized in writing, the customer may not:
- Resell the illustration.
- Market products that incorporate the work.
- Use it in advertising or promotional campaigns.
- Substantially modify the illustration.
- Delete signatures, brands or credits of the author.
- Register the work as your own.
5. Commercial Licenses
Commercial uses require a pre-agreed specific license.
The following are considered commercial uses, among others:
- Advertising.
- Marketing.
- Packaging.
- Merchandising.
- Printed products for sale.
- Commercial covers.
- Business or corporate use.
- Publications for profit.
The conditions, duration, territory and scope of each commercial license will be agreed individually with the client.
6. Copyright Promotion Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Woorons reserves the right to:
- Show the works in your portfolio.
- Publish them on your website.
- Share them on social networks.
- Use them for promotional purposes.
- Include them in publications related to their professional activity.
This includes on-demand work, as long as there is no previously established confidentiality agreement.
7. Works Based on Intellectual Property of Third Parties
Some illustrations may be inspired by characters, films, series, video games, books or other intellectual properties belonging to third parties.
In such cases:
- The rights to the original characters and universes belong to their respective holders.
- Woorons only claims rights to the original illustration made.
- The customer is responsible for verifying that the intended use complies with applicable regulations and the rights of third parties.
8. Modifications and Derivative Works
No illustration may be modified, altered or used to create derivative works without the prior authorization of the author.
Adaptations, transformations or re-uses shall require express written authorisation.
9. Artificial Intelligence
Unless expressly authorized in writing, illustrations made by Woorons may not:
- Used to train artificial intelligence systems.
- Incorporate into machine learning databases.
- Used to generate new images using automated systems.
10. Credits and Recognition
Where reasonably possible, mention of:

11. Non-compliance
The use of an illustration outside the scope of the licence granted may constitute an infringement of intellectual property rights and give rise to appropriate legal action.
