What do you call comics? In Spain many people call them Thebeos. You know why?
Everything has its origin in a magazine called TBO; which appeared on March 11, 1917 and that from then on, in Spain, they would give the name of Thebeos to comics.
TBO had a great success and his first issue was printed in blue (a single color) in the lithography workshop of Arturo Suarez in Barcelona. It was a magazine aimed at children and young people, so it did not publish political or satirical content.

First issue of TBO, drawn entirely by Ernesto Pérez Donaz
