Doing caricatures for my next sketch book dedicated to music.
While previous work has been linked to cinema and TV series, this time we changed to take new airs and at the request of the followers too, who have requested the caricature of this or that famous artist, of the world of music.
Since a caricature is just that, the really interesting thing is to get the reflect the personality of each of these great musicians, on stage.
Getting that personality is critical when making a cartoon.
Exaggerating traits to the extreme, it makes no sense if the celebrity is not identifiable, is then that capturing the personality, is fundamental.
One is not enough custom caricature where the things that identify the person are added. We're talking about music geniuses, we already know that they can carry an instrument or a style, but the image that is transmitted of them in the drawing, must be the fundamental thing, outside of any accessory that can be added to it.
This project will contain a great mix of genres and musical styles that make of it, an idea extremely interesting and stimulating to draw.
In addition, it is already leading me to the suggestion of small changes in style and materials, which can be of great interest when interpreting the character.
We're talking about music., and this will require a more dynamic, looser style that can vary depending on the character. it is no longer the static image of a memorable movie or TV scene.
Music is a life of its own, a language (at least for me) difficult to represent in the lines in which I am accustomed, in which I usually manage.
So let's wait until I finish at least one first job.
And I know many will tell me that Why didn't I draw this or that, but hey, it's a very, very big world. So All suggestions are welcome.
